Prohibition, what it’s doing to our Country and why The Governing Bodies in the U.S. want to maintain this failed policy

The Governing Bodies of the U.S. are using prohibition as a tool to control the supposedly free citizens of the nation. Prohibition supports the Prison for profit corporations. Without the number of Cannabis arrests, the Prison for Profit system would slowly become unsustainable. Just like the "Drug Courts" Without the Cannabis offenders to fill them, they too would no longer be sustainable on a statewide basis much less a national level. You would wind up combining the Drug Courts and winding up with only a few per state in some cases maybe only one per state! Not efficient or cost effective, without the inclusion of Cannabis!
The Citizens of our country are tired of this sham called "The War on Drugs"! We are demanding our Governing bodies stop wasting taxpayer money on a system that does no good and only ruins lives! The most Heinous crime committed under prohibition is instigated by Law Enforcement attempting to regulate people's morals under law. Freedom is having the right to choose for ourselves! Our Constitutional rights are stated as such that we should have the right to govern ourselves as we see fit so long as we do not infringe upon the rights of our fellow citizens! Without that choice, we are at best, comparable to the Serf's of Russia under the Czar's rule and at worst; we are slaves waiting our turn to feed the political greed machine!
Through out history many governments have been brought down by corruption and greed! Nowhere is greed and corruption more prevalent than here, in the 21st Century! This is supposed to be the digital age and yet our governments are run as though it is still the 18th Century! Our own Federal Government self-proclaimed police of the world, by vowing to bring an end to corrupt governments and oppressed people through out the world! So why is the Government that supposedly espouses Freedom for all oppressing their own citizens? Our incarceration rate is 8 times that of CHINA! That's Correct Communist China has an exponentially lower crime rate!
Hillary Clinton was quoted recently in the news as stating, to the President of Mexico, "There is no way we would end prohibition, there's too much money to be made!" Now that isn't an exact quote but it is close enough to be accurate in that people are profiting from Prohibition! What does it take to wage a war? Manpower, equipment, food and other necessities. People have to be paid and supplies have to be purchased. So manufacturers and distributors of military and paramilitary products are profiting from increased sales!
I have to wonder, how much longer Can Mexico hold out against the onslaught of the Drug Cartels, which are being empowered, trained, armed and funded by prohibition and Black Market trade of drugs and people, mostly young women and girls being sold into prostitution. The U.S. trained many of the Soldiers in the Mexican Army, who once they returned home left the military for employment in the Cartels. The U.S. gives billions of dollars to Mexico to help fight the cartels! This money in addition to weapons, meant to be used against the Cartels are ending up on the Cartels supplies. The U.S is actually funding the Cartels at both ends of the spectrum!
The War on Drugs has become a joke and not a very good one, unless you're a Cartel supporter! All attempts to end prohibition in favor of a legalization & regulatory system have met with vehement opposition. Why, are our governing bodies so adamant about keeping the Drug Cartels in Mexico well funded and well armed? Special interest groups such as the oil industry, the pharmaceutical industry and just about every industry in our nation is trying to keep prohibition in place so they don't have to compete with Cannabis as medicine and most importantly Hemp with it's over 50,000 uses. Hemp can replace oil in just about everything that oil is used in!
That's right everything from food to fuel. Cannabis has many medicinal properties that patients can use in place of manufactured drug with the nasty side effects. Montana's governor sold out the people of the state by letting The People's Republican Party's sham of a reform bill usurp the will of the voter's! The bill will leave roughly 2,000 eligible Cannabis patients while ejecting 28,000 from the program because some of them might be abusing Cannabis! So you go from system that could easily have been regulated to a system that will only be accessible by people that are about to die and won't have time to grow a plant to save their life, almost literally! The Governor of Montana just told every Citizen in the state, you can vote all you want but if we don't like it we will change things to suit our political agendas!
Washington State is in a similar situation as to whether the Governor will sign or Veto a bill that the people want! The Federal Government is attempting to intimidate the Governor into not signing the bill into law! Will the governor of Washington sell out the Citizens as Montana's Governor did? How much longer will the U.S. citizens be content with a "peaceful movement" given that they/we are being slapped down at every turn by our Governing bodies'? I was concerned that protests in Montana might turn into conflict. The U.S doesn't have a peaceful past! We are a country that was born of violence and have continued that path on and off over the last 230 + years!
American's do not like oppression and have a well-documented history of clearing out the trash by force of arms! If armed conflict did erupt in the name of freedom and justice, which side would you support? The side that is attempting to control every aspect of your life and telling you are free even though we know it's a lie, Or do you support the Rebellion and fight for freedom, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? We are supposed to have equal protection under law. It turns out that some are more equal than others, just like in the book Animal Farm!
Well, the 2012 elections are around the corner! We shall see how many. of "The People's Republican Party" in Montana, still have their jobs! It's going to be a tough election year! 2 potential candidates running for the Republican nomination are pro drug reform and plan to legalize Cannabis. I haven't heard anything about the Democrats supporting another term for Obama or not. So I have to assume they still want to back him. This may be the time for many 3rd party candidates to prove they can do better than the usual Republicans or Democrats.

Governor of Montana Sells out the sick & disabled to The People's Republican Party!!

Montana's Governor rolls over for a belly rub from the People's Republican Party of Montana. The PRPOM has wasted the entire session trying to ursurp the will of the Voters in Montana! Finally The governor either couldn't stand the pressure of opposing them or they made him an offer he couldn't refuse!
The People's Republican Party want to cut the number of eligable Medical Cannabis users to 2,000 or less! The other 28,000 I believe have the option of going somewhere far away so the elected officials don't have to be bothered with them or paying tribute to the drug manufacturers by buying expensive medications that often are complicated by side effects that people eventually opt to suffer in silence rather than give away their money and still suffer.
It's not right the Citizens of Montana voted the proposition into law and that's the only way any reforms should be done! I feel for the sick and disabled that are about to be forced to leave the state or resort to the black market to find relief for the ailments they were treating with Cannabis!
Governor Sweitzer has taken the next step in Handing control of the state over to The People's Republican Party  and the first communist state in the US! Freedom and Liberty are lost ideals and concepts to the Montana Governing bodies!
