Legalize Hemp, Legalize Cannabis, if cannabis legalization is a no go then decriminalize it like California did and enact medical cannabis legislation for the sick and disabled at least!

So, the medical Cannabis issue is coming to critical mass. We have like 13 or 14 days left to get the bill sponsored filed and passed; Our representatives are telling us they are supportive of the idea but don't want to be the one to put their neck on the line as being the one to introduce it if it should fail. Assuming it isn't killed in committee, we just might have a safe natural alternative to prescription drugs with all the nasty side effects.

For everyone that thinks Cannabis should remain illegal, that means the war on drugs will continue and the drug cartels monopoly on the black market trade in drugs continues and the war in Mexico will spill over the border. Drug dealers do not check ID's! By legalizing drugs, implementing a regulatory system and taxing the sale of drugs just like alcohol and tobacco. This will make drugs harder for minors o get. You do not have to smoke Cannabis to gain the health benefits. A vaporizer is capable of supplying medication through inhalation and no smoke! This also not only saves the state taxpayer funds it also adds a new revenue stream from the taxation of recreational drug use. Citizens used to be able to pay their taxes with hemp! Literally, it was as good as gold because of the some 25,000 industrial applications, yeah, over 25,000 industrial applications. We can get rid of the drug czar and the DEA can be reassigned as border patrol. Like they should be doing, instead of keeping foreign dictators in power.

You want to know something, being pissed and not having a way to vent all that anger can cause many problems. Well, for me at least. I get frustrated and most of the time there is really nothing you can do because the situation calls for patience and usually depends on other people. I rant and I ramble at times. If any of you ever saw my typing sessions. They are all over the place because my mind never stops and if I don't write something important or really good down when I catch the thought as it races across where ever it comes from and goes to, I'll forget it. I usually go back over my documents several times to sort out the ramblings and I sometimes come up with three or four partially written documents. Am I the only one that does this crap?

Attention deficit, yes and no. Every now and then, I will become thoroughly obsessed with a subject and I will go all out to learn everything I can about it. When I'm done with that subject, I roam around until the next mini-obsession over takes me. I have all my college textbooks still. I don't remember taking half of the classes. I do remember some of the classes that I really enjoyed, others I remember after I see the book and browse through it a bit. I can sit only so long before I have to change positions or stand up for a while and try to ease the pressure in my back. So any momentum I get from my muse (for lack of a better word) I try to get as much typed as I can, because I know as soon as I have to stop to try and relax the muscles in my back the momentum is pretty much gone. Unless, unless I am in obsession mode. Then I can usually pick it back up.

Lately I have been writing a lot because there has actually been a lot going on, just not here at my house. It's all online, for the most part. I don't mind that. My writing time is somewhat limited at times being a full time father. Luckily, only one left home with me until he starts school. So, his nap time is my writing time. Unless I have housework to do then my writing time has to wait until after everyone is asleep, insomnia doesn't have to be a bad thing all the time! So, anyway another rambling series of thoughts and opinions by me. Maybe I can get to sleep now. Pushing 9 hours sleep for 3 days, it gets harder and harder to do it as I get older.

Peace out!!

SEMPER FIDELIS! sometimes it loses it’s meaning

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110215/ap_on_re_us/us_military_sexual_abuse

It's sad, It's also Criminal!  I don’t know what branch of the service all of these woman are/were serving in. I can only allude to what I heard, saw and experienced during my 6 years in the Marines.

They say Marines take care of their own, except when it come to an incident involving another marine. Then the victim, usually the lowest rank, is the subject of near constant verbal abuse and often some form of physical abuse.

You are expected to take it and keep your mouth shut. If you say anything or if someone thinks you might say something chances are you wake up one day in the hospital, you probably won't even know what happened because you've suffered so much emotional and physical trauma that you can't remember and maybe you’re better off not remembering. that's a part of our military that they don't tell you about when you enlist. You can't trust these people but you have to, because you have a job to do and your in the same unit. Pissing off someone with a lot of stripes can lead to many, many unpleasant experiences; An Officer, it can be even worse.

I think the women that choose to serve in our military go in with the understanding that if they end up in combat and are captured rape is a very real possibility. The reality is there are some very despicable people hiding behind the uniform. It's never just one person, it's almost always 3 or 4 or more even. What does it say about the people willing to harass and abuse a fellow service member. Selling their honor and their integrity to protect a person in authority? Well, because if they don't then they just might be next. So really they are just trying to take the easy way out.  Just following orders. Even if those orders are unlawful in just about every way.

Usually there is no one that can stand up for the victims as they quickly find themselves in the same position, victimized. The victims that try to stand up for themselves quickly find that their record will reflect a pattern of poor performance and unacceptable behavior, even if it’s a lie.

Once you find yourself in a situation like that, your options are very limited. I believe these rape cases were handled exactly the way the superiors wanted them handled, with everyone keeping their mouth shut or you may find yourself unable to open your mouth for a very, very long time. It has always come down to what is best for the image of the person with the highest rank involved in the situation.

I’m surprised there are only 15 in the lawsuit. If they reach out I will bet there are more. A lot more, more than anyone will want to believe. I hope these ladies achieve their goal. Maybe some of those cases can be reopened. You may never see justice for the abuses you suffered but life does go on. Finding a way to cope with the emotional scars and damage that never seems to heal, well maybe you can learn to live with it until you can find a way to heal it. Some nightmares seem endless.

twisted, sometimes…

not so popular.

I Hope The People of Egypt Find Peace Soon!

The People of Egypt, a nation on the other side of our world, is in political turmoil. The Dictator has finally surpassed the peoples level of tolerance. They demand he step down. The People want a new form of Government! I hope they get it before to many people die from the dictators attempt to hold on to his position of power. If I could tell the people of Egypt one thing, it would be don't give up! You have the right to live in a peaceful and secure environment. You shouldn't have to worry if you child will get caught in the crossfire of some corrupt officials attempts to control the citizens.

I listened as one of the Egyptian citizens stated that they had expected a little more support from the US. The US people are not always represented properly by our elected officials. That is one of the many flaws of our form of government. All forms of Government are flawed to some extent. Our type of government is the one that I am most familiar with, not that I know much about how it really works. I understand the principal of it.

I do not agree with the idea that people should be forced to live in accordance with the ideals of others. The US claims to support civil rights for people and helps to implement a democratic form of government; then how, is it that the US can support dictators and help them to retain power by supplying DEA agents to act as a execution squad to take out any opposition to the current regime. The only requirement is to claim the opposition was actually an organized drug Manufacturer/distributor. American Tax dollars hard at work.

It is my hope that the people of Egypt can find a way to end the conflicts and get the government reforms they are demanding!

Arkansas Lawmakers Ignore the Voice of the Citizens!

Time is running out on the possibility of getting Cannabis legislation pushed through the Arkansas congress this session! We haven't found a senator with the balls to step up and sponsor the dog gone bill. Oh many of them support the idea and would vote for it if was can find a sponsor to file the bill. Without someone to sponsor the bill, we are stuck waiting until 2012 and that means walking the streets and gathering signatures for get a bill on the ballot assuming that we can get it pass the Arkansas state attorney general. We just need to get someone to step up and say this is what the people want! We are tired of the Republican party policies, the Democratic party's policies ruining our country. Obviously, the two parties (Democrats & Republicans) don't pay attention to the people of our nation as a whole. They damn sure listen to the corporate interests handing out cash! If they did listen to the real people of the nation, many things would be different.

So, given our current situation, the solution should begin with taking corporate interests out of the political environment. Any government bills granting special powers to corporations should be voted on by the people, after all the many they are being given is taxpayer funds to begin with. Eliminate corporate donations to individual candidates. Corporate donations could go into a general fund divided evenly among all running candidates for that particular office regardless of party affiliation.

Someone in the Arkansas legislature has to have the guts to stand up for the people that they are supposed to be representing and make a stand. The people of Arkansas don't really have a voice in the state government. Senators and Representative alike, they listen but the legislation being introduced is contrary to what those of us that have called in have been suggesting. What the lawmakers fail to understand is that every one of them that oppose the will of the people will be voted out as their term expires, if we have any say in it. If this opportunity is passed over I will lobby against every seated politician and support anyone that will listen to the people and get the medical cannabis bill passed.
