President Nixon’s War On Drugs After 40 Years!

One Trillion Dollars spent over a period of 40 years! Exactly how does a country fight a war against inanimate objects? The War on drugs has failed to achieve a single objective over the span of 40 years! Money belonging to the citizens of the United States deliberately squandered by the very people entrusted to govern the affairs of our country! Nixon's, war on drugs accomplished nothing but to destroy the lives of Americans and allow criminals enterprises to flourish and create vast organized Black Market networks for trafficking drugs, weapons and young women for prostitution. The war on drugs seems to me to be an illusion! It is used to divert attention from the real objective. The real objective of the war on drugs is to allow the governing bodies to exert greater control over the citizens. It gave the governing bodies an excuse to curtail our constitutional rights in the name of public safety and national security.

Over 30,000 Mexican Citizens slaughtered! Michele Leonhart, the now confirmed head of the DEA, claims that body count is proof that we are winning! Ms. Leonhart, how many more slaughtered Mexican Citizens will signal that the war against drugs has been won? Eventually Mexico is going to either change their policies to try to protect their citizens or run out of citizens to protect.

Aid, money & weapons given to foreign governments, by the US to supposedly help fight the war on drugs, is often handed off to powerful local Drug Lords so that whoever is in power at the time can keep control over the people of his country and present and a presumably honest yet albeit harried leader to the world. So, why has the US Government, knowingly, been financing the very Black Market trades that they claim to be fighting?

When is enough, enough? When will the American People stand up to the Governing bodies, Federal, State and Local, and demand that the politicians acknowledge our Constitutional rights and stop taking them away! When will we as American Citizens tell the federal government to stop wasting our money on their pet projects and what they personally want! Unless we stand up and unite to tell the governing bodies to submit to the will of the people and not the secret agenda's of special interest groups and corrupt politicians! Our government has taken the liberty of adopting policies that allow cruel and unusual treatment of our fellow citizens. This is especially true in the cases of people that choose to use Cannabis. A person that uses Cannabis can be incarcerated longer than persons convicted of taking another life can. The Punishment is supposed to fit the crime! Why is a plant, that god put on this planet for mankind to use, against the law when it has been proven to have more than a few uses as medicine? Hemp is prohibited also simply because it contains a trace amount of THC and is from the same family as Cannabis.

Our current President, Barak Obama, has taken a new approach for the same old tired policies of previous administrations. He uses the newest of technologies to reach the citizens of the United States! The State of the Union Address was broadcast via television networks and over the internet via "live-streaming." The entire world has access to "live-streaming" speeches and interviews. A couple of days after the State of the Union Address, President Obama participated in an interview on Youtube to "answer the questions of the people!"

The questions were posted on a forum where people could vote for the best questions. The top 100 ranked questions concerned ending the drug war, Legalizing Cannabis and several variations all this amounted to the citizens crying out, "We the people want change!" Out of the entire interview, President Obama commented on the top question. The number one (1) ranked question, submitted my a member of L.E.A.P., was concerning current failed drug policies, the failed war on drugs and the extreme waste involved in fighting the war on drugs. The president did not answer the question he commented on the question stating that "it was a topic that could be debated."

Now in fairness, President Obama was supposed to be answering questions that fell under certain categories. Categories carefully selected, to allow the President, to avoid the one single topic that Americans have been trying to get the politicians to change for years, the US policy on drugs.

The great thing about the internet is that anyone with access was able to view that interview. That means the fact that the President of the United States ignored the very people responsible for his ascension to the White House. He just blew them off like dust on the mantle of a fireplace. I haven't seen much of the reaction from other US Citizens. I expected more of an uproar after Obama's response. President Obama may have said the subject is debatable. He did not say that "he" would be the one to debate the subject. He already has access to all the statistics for the past 40 years. What is left to debate? He knows the same thing that the citizens know about the failed war on drugs. He also knows everything the citizens have never been told about the war on drugs. Surely, by now he knows how the citizens feel about all the wasted money and destroyed lives.

It's almost as if, like a young child pretending that if they don't open their eyes, you can't see them. In this case, so long as the governing bodies refuse to listen to the people, they can continue wasting tax money on the war on drugs. So long as the governing bodies deny stripping us of our Constitutional rights, they can continue doing what ever they want.

I feel that there is only one remaining question to be answered! How much more Bull Shit are we the people going to endure from the government? Isn't it time that "WE THE PEOPLE" finally stand up and tell these selfish politicians to stop wasting our tax money on the failed war on drugs, Stop the pet projects, ear-marks and pork-barrel add-ons to necessary appropriations Bills. Federal funds should be used for federal needs! Most importantly, Stop ruining the lives of our fellow citizens! Stop destroying entire families in the name of national security!

Parents Need To Make The Right Choice Also!

I read this article on Todays THV http://www.todaysthv.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=140646&catid=2

Concerning Teen using Drugs & Alcohol about how easy it is for kids to get drugs these days, they simply go to a dealer. The dealers don't check ID, they check the money! Many dealers also offer a wide range of drugs. As far as alcohol goes, the kids have to have access to it or access to someone willing to buy it for them. But do not doubt for a minute that those wanting to find drugs or alcohol will eventually find it.

You have companies offering free drug tests. Law-makers wanting to pass laws that invade your privacy. Like we really have any semblance of privacy these days anyway. Parents & teachers trying to get teens to make the right choices when everyday businesses are making deals the border on illegal and unethical. What? I left out immoral? Well that is more of a personal preference. Parents don't always make the right choices, how can they expect their kids to make the right choice? Parent/s tell kid don't tell lies! Kid sees parent/s tell lie, maybe more than one.

Youtube, hosted a 'ask the president" feature event. Internet users got to post their questions and then everyone could vote on the questions that were posted. The top 100 questions were concerning the war on drugs, drug policy reform/change. Repealing the prohibition on Cannabis & hemp. Legalize Hemp, it has 1,001 known uses and on a per acre basis, produces more natural resources than trees. Still it is lumped in with the other drugs because it has a minute trace of thc in it. Apparently youtube allowed the president to choose which questions he answered. They also had specific categories that they wanted for the questions to be asked. Now if you want to avoid a certain topic, man up grow a pair and say, "I'm not discussing that today." However, the categories offered didn't allow for the single most popular category. That category was Cannabis/drug Reform/legalization. Obama promised us "Change you can believe in!" Well, we got change; politicians now ignore the voters on the internet as well as real life.

It pisses me off. There are people being sent to jail that are seriously ill. They use Marijuana to treat the symptoms. Put that person in jail and the taxpayers have to pay for their pot! NO, hat would be cheap! Prisoners are not allowed to us cannabis while incarcerated. The taxpayers have to pay for the drug companies pills and you know the government is being charged out the ass for medication by the drug Companies.

Obama blew of 99 of the most voted questions! He answered the question posed by a member of L.E.A.P., Law Enforcement Against Prohibition is a group made up of former LEO's & Judges. Pretty cool, even the cops are tired of the war on drugs. So the interview is almost over and final they ask the question, Obama didn't even really answer the question! He tap danced around it. Though is did profess that eh personally is against any type of legalization of Cannabis or any other drug for that matter. So the truth is he doesn't care what the citizens of the US want, you will get what he decides you can have!

Well, that's it for today! We have learned that politicians are not to be trusted no matter what! If you want a law changed better be prepared to be stuck in limbo for a while

Are American Citizens Truly Tired Enough Of The Failed War On Drugs To Demand Change?

The last couple of weeks have been fun. I have logged a lot of time writing, just not on my stories. I've been updating the pages on FaceBook ,mypage, Little Rock Teapot Party and The Arkansas Teapot Party page. Some good news is that FaceBook restored the Original facebook page for Willie Nelson's Teapot Party! It seems that the teapot meltdown was because a bunch shit-heads felt that Mr. Bloom (cofounder of the WNTPP) was making a profit on t-shirt sales via the internet. Willie Nelson had a vision for this movement. Everybody spread the word, each person do what you can from where you are and encourage lawmakers to support/propose Cannabis reform legislation. The end game, for this movement being to abolish the prohibition on Cannabis & Hemp. If the current elected officials won't listen to the voice of the people then find a candidate that will listen and back them to replace the politician that doesn't want to act upon the will of the people!

Some people had other ideas and wanted the teapot party run their way. Claim a democratic majority the proclaimed the Willies Nelson Teapot Party was theirs and it would be run the way they wanted it to be run. Now, that's all well and good but, come on! You can't just arbitrarily decide that a few people constitute a majority and are taking control of the movement. First consider that Willie Nelson never intended to create a "Political Party" like the Dem's or the Rep's. he envisioned a "grass roots movement" where everyone that is tired of the failed drug policies, tired of reading about slaughter Mexican citizens. Alteing the Drug Policies would in effect cripple the financial income the drug Cartel's are receiving from the black market trade of drugs. Hillary Clinton has assured the President of Mexico that the US will through more money at the problem along with more guns. ??? What the Cartels aren't rich enough? The Citizens of Mexico aren't being slaughtered fast enough? At the rate the war on drugs is going, the US could cancel every single program and devote all the funds to the DEA to fight the war on drugs and they still wouldn't win, they might make a little headway until they bankrupt the nation.

It's amazing how, for a democracy with a "Government for the People, by the People," the politicians have stopped listening to the voice of the people. The failed war on drugs has been nothing but a drain on the government finances. It has accomplished not a single tangible goal. It should have been obvious before now, that the money they are giving to Mexico is actually being used to funnel more drugs into the US! Since 1972 the US has been fighting the war on drugs! Nearly 40 years of financial siphoning of the taxpayers hard-earned money and what do we have to show for it? We have a trail of unnecessary violence, entire families, terrorized, small children scarred for life. The killing of family pets for sport by law enforcement officers. Our judicial system may not be the best in the world. The foundation of our justice system is the it is better for 10 guilty persons to go free than one innocent may be jailed for a crime he didn't commit. These commando style raids are a direct violation of our rights. Being denied due process, corrupt law enforcement officers abusing their authority.

Marijuana is the most widely used substance in the world perhaps. The only reason it is illegal is because Harry J. Anslinger played upon the racist attitude of the era. Cannabis was widely used among the minority races. Anslinger invented may lies and use the Newspaper Mogul, Randolph Hearst's hatred of the Mexicans, displayed in his newspaper articles to convince the government that Cannabis should be illegal! Now there was one Man, a Doctor that tried to refute Anslinger's claims. The committee didn't want to hear the truth, they were more interested in finding a way to exert further control over (as Anslinger put it) "the degenerate races" infesting our nation taking jobs away from whites.

It is unlawful to discriminate against a person because for the color of their skin! The prohibition on Cannabis and Hemp was enacted for racial reasons and has since been maintained by special interest groups not wanting to have to compete in the market place with a naturally superior resource. Thursday is the president's youtube Q&A session. The first 59 most popular questions are concerning Cannabis/drug law reform. I can't say that he will listen to the voice of the people. Last time he laughed it off and hinted that the online audience wasn't very intelligent. This year the questions are more focused on drug law reform, legalizing Cannabis and regulating drugs. That would in effect end the war on drugs for the most part. We'll see, either we get the change we were promised, the change We The People Want or we work on replacing the president next election. Kind of déjà-vu.

Well, one more e-mail to the Whitehouse from there website and then I'm off to bed.

What Abolishing The Prohibition Against Cannabis Will and Will Not do For Our Country

.

Abolishing the prohibition will

  • Remove the stigma that substance use is the same as abuse
  • Allow recreational use for persons 21 and older
  • Allow for a regulatory system to limit access to Cannabis by minors
  • Create penalties for persons supplying Cannabis to minors
  • Allow for reasonable taxation of commercial sales of Cannabis
  • Reduce Black Market profitability to level that is more easily dealt with
  • Save taxpayer money by reducing the cost associated with the war on drugs by nearly 70%
  • It will create an additional revenue stream via reasonable taxation
  • Eliminate a faux criminal element that is causing prison overcrowding
  • Be a huge step toward restoring our constitutional rights
  • Reintroduce the hemp industry creating jobs and allowing our planet to recover from extreme deforestation

Abolishing prohibition will not

  • Eradicate the Black Market Trade completely. It just won't be very profitable
  • It will not "create" another substance to be abused like alcohol. Cannabis has been around since the dawn of mankind and has been used nearly as long quite successfully use does not mean abuse
  • the people that aren't concerned with the law are already using it with no regulations in place
  • Make it easier for kids to gain access. Proper regulation will cut down on access by minors just as with tobacco and alcohol
  • It will not save the Nation from destruction completely because legislators will continue to make bad laws to cripple our economic presence and our ability to compete in the global markets.

Another point in favor of reforming our current failed drug policies would be if the prohibitions against drugs were abolished. Effectively crippling the Black Market trade industry would be and in its place, we implement regulation, taxation, education a better, and more realistic and honest substance abuse/recovery health services. This action would serve to eliminate a faux criminal element and help to reduce over crowding in prisons of "Non-violent" offenders. The Netherlands is closing eights (8) prisons because their laws do not seek to create a faux criminal element that serves to keep the "prison for profit" corporations viable! Yes, let us put the citizens of our country back in charge and maybe we can eliminate the prison for profit system and save billions more of our tax revenue which could go toward building schools and educational services. I almost forgot my favorite point of this scenario! The lying idiots in the DEA will no longer be needed as the drug problem will be minimal and easily controlled via local law enforcement officers.

There will always be individuals unable to control themselves when engaging in activities involving mind-altering substances. This will not be anything new, it is happening now but opponents of prohibition repeal/abolishment would have you believe that removing the restrictions against drugs will be like handing them to kids directly. You cannot regulate the morals of citizens! No one persons' moral standard is more important than another's'! I will not tell you how to direct your morals and you will not direct mine. It really is that simple.

Part of what being a free citizen means to me is the right to choose to be different or join a group of like-minded individuals and still allowing other to do the same. The only real restriction is if my actions were to bring harm against another person. Then I have to take responsibility for my actions.

Drugs are the province of qualified Medical Personnel and should not be under the control of politicians!

Why Prohibition of Any substance is Unconstitutional

No Governing body has the right to create arbitrary laws that infringe on our constitutional rights. Nowhere in the US Constitution is the power to regulate the morals of the citizens ceded to the Federal government, nor does it reside with the State Governments. All citizens retain the right to regulate their moral compass. That is why the 10th Amendment is a part of the Bill of Rights in the US Constitution.

What does that mean? Well it means that any prohibition or other law attempting to control a persons; morals is unconstitutional. Slavery was unconstitutional; alcohol prohibition was unconstitutional and so is the prohibitions placed upon Hemp and Cannabis. I hate to include the "so called" hard drugs but I have to. If you as a citizen commit a crime, the circumstances of your sobriety or lack thereof is irrelevant! Your sobriety may be taken into account in determining the severity of the penalty should you be convicted of a crime while under the influence. If you don't like Tobacco, don't smoke it. You also have the right not to be deliberately exposed to second-hand smoke. If you do not approve of the use of Alcohol, do not purchase alcohol. If you do not approve of a particular substance then stay away from it and the people that engage in the use of those substances. You also have the right to not be harassed, subjected to lewd and lascivious or abusive behavior by any person or group of persons, whether under the influence of any substance or sober.

If you choose to engage in any activity, you do so knowing that it is your choice to participate. You are still responsible for your actions while engaging in an activity. No one can force you to participate in any activity. That would be infringing upon your rights. The laws of the United States are supposed to make life easier by granting everyone equality. At some point, Legislators got the idea that they could control the people's activities and interests by prohibition.

The 10th Amendment to the US Constitution, a part of the bill of Rights is the least invoked amendment in the Bill of Rights. The Supreme Court rulings have made a mockery of the rights of the citizens by allowing corrupt politicians to sway the rulings of the Supreme court to the point that (in my opinion) the politicians may as well walk up to the bench and drop a fat envelope of cash right there in front of everybody. The same results a twisted version of what the laws are meant to be a way for citizens to interact on a personal and professional basis.

There you have it, Prohibitions enacted by the governments with out the approval of the people are unconstitutional and an infringement of our rights as citizens of a free country. This is of course my opinion and I am by no means a legal expert. I am however a concerned citizen! I do not like the direction our Governing bodies are taking the country. It is time for the Politicians to be taken to task and held accountable for nearly destroying our nation, infringing upon the rights of the citizens in the name of "National security!" I WANT MY RIGHT TO LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS RESTORED. Join with me in lobbying our legislators to stop infringing upon our rights!

The Final Day of December 2010

"New Year's Eve Day," we call it, the last day of the year. December 31, 2010 this day is a bit special, not only is this the final day of the year but also the last day of the first decade of the 21st Century! It is raining and gloomy today. Somehow, this feels more special than the turn of the century. Humankind still dominates the Earth slowly trying to repair the damage wrought in the name of progress, while continuing to rapidly destroy our world in the name of progress. The war to reclaim & preserve nature is growing. Going Green is now an in thing to do.

In the year 2008, the U.S. made history by electing the first black man for the office of president. Barack Obama, His big slogan: "Change, you can believe in!" The voters, in an attempt to send a message to the Republican Party, voted an overwhelming number Democrats into office, giving them a majority. The message voters were trying unsuccessfully to send is simple.

  • Stop the pork barrel/ear mark spending add-ons to appropriations bills that are vital to sustain the nation.
  • Stop excessive and unnecessary deficit spending and
  • create a balanced budget and work within those means
  • restructure the government to run more efficiently, yeah I mean cutting jobs I know, kind of counter productive given the state of the economy

The Democrats apparently failed to decipher the message of the voters. Between 2008 and 2010, the Democrats played host to a series of failed policies & financial debacles from Wall Street to the mortgage industry. Banks failing daily, skyrocketing unemployment. Now in fairness to the Democrats, all this financial turmoil can be tracked all the way back to the Nixon Administration (in my opinion). The Democrats simply happened to be at the helm when the bottom fell out. American must have been thinking that the Nation's Financial Infrastructure had begun to crumble. The truth is, it had started crumbling long before the bankers & Financial Management Companies were forced to make the problems public. Every time the Government thought they had plugged the hole another would pop up. The Bankers & Financial management Companies let poor business practices cripple the financial infrastructure of our Nation using their political ties to the Republicans to do it.

Who is paying the price? The citizens are paying the price in lost jobs, foreclosures. The Corporate Executives get fat bonuses and sit around laughing at the poor schmucks that they ripped off. It really pisses me off that Corporations can get away with crap like what Enron & MCI World Com. They aren't the only ones either. Many Corporations get away with just about anything they want because you can't arrest a corporation. You can't put a corporation in prison for fraud or other crimes. Corporate entities are the reason many Politicians sell out their constituents, big money!

In 2010 the off election year, meaning no presidential election, the voters attempted again to tell politicians that they were done with all the failed policies and the change they were promised came in the form of financial ruin. for many families the shame of not being able to provide for their families due to loss of income, rising interest rates, Being over extended on credit lines. The country on the verge of a depression slapped the Democratic Party so hard President Obama said "Ouch!" (Not really, I just made that up for effect.) The Republicans applauded the voters for letting the Democratic Party know that the country needs to run under the guidance and policies of the Republican National Party!

Say what? Wait! NO!! That is not the message! The real message is: Stop plotting your same old tired and ineffective political strategies! Stop blocking all the legislation vital to the security of our nation. Stop clogging appropriations bills for the Nations Budget with your god damned pork barrel projects/ earmarks. Call it what you will but you are fleecing the taxpayers. The Citizens of the United States have had enough! STOP IT!!

Hello Mr. Republican, Mr. Democrat listen to us, before we bitch-slap you right out of your cushy leather chair in that fat-cat Washington office, out into the cold, snowy streets of the city(that is code for "recall," having them removed from office by the same citizens that elected them. No actual threat of physical violence is intended)! It is the policies of both parties that need to be corrected to the tune of a "government by the people for the people!!!" Not: "Government by the Politicians for the Special Interest Groups!" You are infringing upon but outright violating the Constitutional rights of the Citizens' of the United States and apparently, we are paying you to do it… *face-palm*

The Wiki-leaks debacle will be forever remembered as happening under the Obama Administration, along with the mortgage disaster, the Automaker's bailout, the Insurance companies' bailout, the Wall Street bailout. I may have a couple of those listed under the wrong administration. You get my drift though. How much more can go wrong under the current administration? Who is going to bailout the Government? The Citizens will bare that burden of course, through tax increases and reduced services.

The Federal Government has simply gotten too big. We need a law to separate pork barrel/ear mark appropriations from being attached to necessary expenses for the nation. All appropriations bills should be singular in nature. i.e. ear mark for funding to finance a land purchase in Florida so a nudist colony doesn't buy the land, is not vital to the nation in any way. That is a state matter. Federal funds should not be used in such a manner! We need to restructure the entire Government. Cut the number of representatives in the house of Congress in half. Cut/reduce expense accounts. Monitor & limit the use of government vehicles. Yes, I repeated myself. It bears repeating because politicians don't listen unless you're making them money or voting them into office. Once in office they forget what you said.

Between the potential threat of terrorist attacks and the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan. Americans are being arbitrarily forced into giving up their freedoms in the name of National Security. National Security is the hot topic with regard to potential terrorist attacks but the thousands of illegal immigrants entering the country is no biggie. I agree that Terrorist threats are an important issue. One that deserves our attention and some type of response is required. However, we should be securing our own borders first in the interest of National Security. The influx of illegal aliens is out of control. It is not just the Latino's that can cruise across the border. Hello?? Do you understand the words that are written here? Terrorists can go to any country south of the border, work their way up through México, and enter the U.S. just like any other illegal immigrant. From Canada to the north, we are also vulnerable. It is time to put the people of America first, not political agendas'. So any way, that is my rant covering the year of 2010. As far as the situation facing Americans in 2011, I have a separate rant for that

PersonalBrain won over Free Mind!

I had all but forgotten about this Blog! Quite a few things have happened but what is important for me is that I now have an easier way to update a blog and I still have the desire to do it. I got away from writing until the right at the end of 2010. I wrote a "year in review" type rant for 2010. I'll see about posting it. I am attempting to make consistent updates on my blog, starting with this year; as well as my ongoing projects that I started in '08. I'll just have to see how it goes. I was planning to do this when I first signed up for the blog. That didn't go over so well. I wasn't able to stay focused on much. I will just have to try harder this time around.

After several weeks of playing around with free mind and personalbrain I opted to continue using PersonalBrain. The functionality and features simply work better for me in keeping things organized and how they relate to other thoughts, documents and notes. So PersonalBrain sat on my pc for over a year with out my opening it once. Then one day I just decided to play around with it a bit and boom, I was writing again. I'd like to keep the writing going. I have no illusions about my chances of ever getting anything published. I just an outlet and I decided that writing could be an outlet that would work. I don't have a whole lot of activities left that I really enjoy.

Ok, so this is my attempt to restart blogging/writing. I'll just have to wait & see.
